Details of the Nexus 7 2013
The Display of the New Nexus is just brilliant. It has a 7 inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1920p x 1200p which is just amazing for a 7inch tablet. It has a pixel density of 323 ppi which is the highest pixel per inch till now for a tablet and it is also twice as of the Ipad mini. The Display of the device is very crisp and bright helping user to read very comfortably in the direct sun as well as during night. The resolution is perfect for playing games, watching movies as well as reading documents. Texts are extremely crisp you won’t be able to find any pixilation out there. The Viewing angles are just great thanks to the IPS display technology.
The Body of the Nexus 7 2 is well crafted it has a plastic body and a soft touch back panel as compared to the rubber back panel of the nexus 7 2012.The device is just 8.65mm thick comparing to its predecessor which is 10.45mm in thickness. The device doesn’t feel cheap because of the soft the back and the premium plastic used by Asus. The power on/off and the volume rocker are located at the right, the left is completely plain. At the back we have a 5MP camera at the top left on the middle we have a nicely crafted nexus logo and at the bottom we have the ASUS branding and some legal information.
Talking about the Sound the speaker of the nexus 7 were a major let down the sound quality was not at all up to the mark but thanks to the nexus 7 2 which has surround sound powered by Fraunhofer also known as the MP3 inventors. The sound is very loud and clear. The Nexus 7 2 has Stereo output, speakers are located at the top as well as at the bottom.
The 2013 Google Nexus 7 packs a 5 megapixel Snapper, producing still shots with a highest resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The shots taken from the 5 Megapixel camera of the nexus 7 2 was just a disappointment there were lots of high voice level in the images. The low light images were not good at all. The camera of Nexus 7 2 is able to take 1080p videos at 30fps and at a bit rate of 12 Mbps. The front camera is of 1.2MP. The camera application is the basic with features like still imaging, video recording, panorama and 360 panorama. The camera lacks features like Flash, HDR and ISO settings.
