Design

Measuring just 7.3mm, Xiaomi Mi A1 looks and feels like it is designed specifically for your hand. With the perfect 5.5 inch display, it is also easy to operate with one hand. The phone has a dimension of 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs only 165 gm. The Xiaomi Mi A1 will be available in 3 colors, they are Black, Gold and Rose Gold. The phone is fingerprint resistant and has a full metal body.

Hardware/Specifications

Xiaomi Mi A1 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, which is a great chipset to balance between performance and battery life with a fairly standard 3080mAh battery. The battery can easily last for a complete day with an average use of a smartphone. You can charge the phone with USB Type-C charger. Mi A1 comes with a 4GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage which expandable to 128 GB with microSD.

Camera

Xiaomi Mi A1 is the first smartphone manufactured by Xiaomi which will sport a dual rear camera of 12 MP which will be 12 MP wide-angle lens with a 12 MP telephoto lens. You can do upto 2x optical zoom with the smartphone and it has 5MP front camera. Face detection, HDR, panorama and few more features are present in the stock camera app of the Xiaomi Mi A1 phone.

Software

As said in the starting, The phone is having a very powerful tag line “Created by Xiaomi, Powered by Google”. Xiaomi Mi A1 is smartphone under Android One initiative of Google which aims to provide an affordable smartphone to developing countries. As backed by Google, the Xiaomi Mi A1 will be running on stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat with all latest apps of Google Assistant and Google Photos pre-installed. It will also be among the first few phones to receive Android Oreo update by the end of the year.

Price and Availability

The Xiaomi Mi A1 will also be available in around 40 regions along with India, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia, Poland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Ukraine, and Mexico. Although prices for those counties have not yet been announced. The device lands in India on 12 September with the tag of ₹14,999 only.
