After tons of leaks and rumors, the most awaited OnePlus 6 is here. At an event held at NSCI in Mumbai, the company launched OnePlus 6 smartphone in India. OnePlus 6 comes with a notch on the top of a display which is followed by the front camera, earpiece and proximity sensor. Also, OnePlus is powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with new gestures feature.

The company has released three color variants of OnePlus 6 smartphone which includes Mirror Black, matte Midnight Black, and smooth Silk White. Moreover, OnePlus has partnered with Marvel Studio to launch similar limited Avenger edition of OnePlus 6 which have been seen earlier on OnePlus 5T.

The company is offering 256GB of internal storage variant which is more than enough for a normal user. OnePlus 6 will go on sale in India on May 21 via Amazon, which is an early access sale for Amazon Prime customers. OnePlus also launched Bullets wireless headset with a price range of Rs. 3,999.

Design & Build Quality:

OnePlus has replaced the earlier aluminum back which is seen on OnePlus 5T with a more premium glass back. The company offers three different types of glass which include Midnight Black, Mirror Black, Silk White. According to the company, the Midnight Black option will be most popular among all the users. The Midnight Black variant comes with a matte texture finish which gives premium look to the smartphone.

Also, the glass is extremely grippy in hand which makes the phone more secure than the earlier metal body phone. The Mirror Black finish on OnePlus 6 gives glossy look and also it is not very slippery at all. However, if you hold the smartphone in the light, you will see a refracted S pattern on the glass. Silk White variant of OnePlus 6 offers matte glass on the back with a silky sandblasted finish.

You will see iPhone X like a notch on the top of the display which includes front camera, earpiece and proximity sensor. The phone also comes with Volume Rockers, USB-C port, and the headphone jack. In addition, you will see fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone which is placed just below the camera. Moreover, the phone is water resistant.

Display:

OnePlus 6 sports a 6.28-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. The Optic AMOLED display on OnePlus 6 is pair with impressive viewing angles, a good brightness which makes gaming and watching videos more comfortable. It reproduces vivid colors which offer stunning visibility even under direct sunlight. Also, it has Gorilla Glass 5 protection which makes the screen a scratch resistant.

Performance:

The phone is powered by latest octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor which is coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM. One can expect the smooth performance during multitasking. With a huge amount of RAM and Adreno 630 GPU, one can play high graphics games without facing any lag issue in it.

Camera:

Moving towards the camera, OnePlus 6 comes with dual 16MP + 20MP rear camera setup. The primary camera has OIS along with EIS which the improves the performance for photo and video in Low light condition. Also, OnePlus 6 is capable of shooting 4K videos at 60FPS along with super slow-mo feature which works at 480 frames per second. The primary camera also gets a portrait mode for better photography.

On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0. Right now, the portrait mode is not available for the front camera. But the company promises to bring Portrait mode via software update. It camera feature includes Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, and Slow-Mo.

Software:

OnePlus 6 running an Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Also on the top of Android Oreo, you will find the Oxygen OS which is stock OS of OnePlus. With the latest software and processor, you can expect fast Face Unlock feature on your smartphone. In addition, Android P beta is available for OnePlus 6, so you can install it whenever you want.

Battery:

The OnePlus 6 has non-removable Li-Po 3300 mAh battery which can last for a day from normal to moderate usage. Also, the phone support for Dash Charging which can charge your battery up to 80% in just half an hour.

Availability and Offers:

OnePlus is going to launch two variants of OnePlus 6 smartphone. The 6GB RAM + 64GB Internal storage variant is priced at Rs. 34,999. Whereas the 8GB RAM + 128GB Internal storage variant is priced at Rs. 39,999.

However, OnePlus 6 will go on sale from May 21 on Amazon India, only for Prime subscribers. For the general public, the sale will begin on May 22 via Amazon India, OnePlus.in. OnePlus 6 is available in three color options which includes Midnight Black, Mirror Black, Silk White.

Additionally, OnePlus 6 comes with many launch offers which include Rs. 2,000 discount on purchases using SBI debit and credit cards.
