Display, Design and Build quality of OnePlus 5T:
The phones come with a new FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. OnePlus had done a great job in combining a 6.01-inch AMOLED display in a similar frame as the OnePlus 5. It also has black bezels around the display like other smartphones in the market which makes the phone look better than the OnePlus 5. The company using an Optic AMOLED panel which is just like SUPER AMOLED, but has a slightly different in color fidelity. The 5T display looks slightly inferior to the OnePlus 5.
Many Android apps are not yet optimized which takes advantage of 18:9 aspect ratio, so the apps comes with black bars on the sides. Games like Injustice 2 run by zoomed in which cuts the menu within this game. While the phone makers are enthusiastic about moving to the new 18:9 aspect ratio.
Putting both phones side-by-side 5T is definitely taller. The 5T comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back. It features a ceramic coat on the fingerprint scanner, so it won’t get scratched easily.
Performance of OnePlus 5T:
OnePlus 5T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is running OxygenOS 4.7.1 layered on top of Android 7.1.1 which is just similar to OnePlus 5. It handles multiple application running in the background and also runs any high-level game which you want to play. The 5T doesn’t slow down even with two apps running in the background. The phone never heat-up even undergoes with heavy games.
The phone launch with the same combination of RAM and Storage as the OnePlus 5 has. Also has the same battery life of 3300mAh which last for an entire working day. The phones come with dash charging technologies.
Camera Performance of OnePlus 5T:
The camera works better in low light condition. Image taken on a day is even better and this smartphone has the best camera in the range of 4ok segment. Thanks to OnePlus for returning 16MP camera using the Sony IMX 398 sensor. The company removed the secondary telephoto lens and added a secondary 20MP camera. So the 2X zoom still works digitally. It captures depth data while taking standard photos.
The 20MP camera only strikes in when the light is under 10 lux. The camera has f/1.7 aperture lens and both the rear camera have the same 27.22mm focal length. Bokeh image can be taken without cropping any frame. The portrait iamges look very similar to image taken by OnePlus 5.
