Motorola has had a successful stint in India, with its devices – the Moto G, Moto G2 and the Moto E facing immense popularity amongst the masses. The company is soon to launch its new device in the budget offering – the second generation of their Moto E. A device which offers good specifications at an affordable price point, the Moto E Gen 2 will surely go well with the masses!
IMPROVEMENTS FROM THE PREVIOUS VERSION
The new Moto E will bring to the table a lot of improvements over its predecessor, in the form of better hardware and software features. The key upgrade is the support for 4G bands, which means a higher internet speed. The other upgrades are elaborated upon below.
The second gen Moto E has a better processor, a better display and a larger size as compared to the first gen. Frankly, the specifications are quite similar to the first gen Moto G.
This is where the new Moto E truly stands out. First off, as expected, it comes with Android Lollipop out of the box, and the company has stated that this phone will continue receiving updates.
Moreover, a lot of features from the higher end Moto X have also been integrated into this phone. Features like Quick Capture, where you can twist the phone to directly open the camera, and the intuitive Notifications system, where you can shake the phone to view or dismiss any notifications directly from the lock screen.
Besides, there\’s always the standard Motorola applications such as Moto Assist which aim at making the usability factor very high on this phone.
With the new Moto E, the company has also introduced a new accessory in the form of the Motorola Bands. These are basically bands which will fit snugly around your phone without bulking up your phone. Think of it as a cover, for the sides of your phone!
