Micromax has expanded its Bharat series with a launch of Bharat Go smartphone in India. Earlier in January, Micromax has announced the launch of Bharat Go at MWC 2018. However, Micromax Bharat Go is the company’s first Android Go smartphone. The price for Bharat Go smartphone is set at Rs. 4,399. Moreover, Micromax partnered with Airtel to offer Rs. 2000 cashback on Bharat Go smartphone as part of Airtel’s “Mera Pehla Smartphone” initiative. With this cashback offer, the company bringing this smartphone at the effective price down to Rs. 2,399.

To recall you, Android Go is Google’s program which built an OS for low-end devices. Also, all Android Go smartphones come with an optimized processor, less amount of RAM and storage. In addition, the Go smartphone comes with pre-loaded apps which include Gmail Go, Maps Go, Youtube Go, Assistant Go, GBoard and more.

Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, Micromax said, “Android Oreo (Go Edition) is a compelling proposition for the mobile first economy like India. We are proud to announce the launch of Bharat GO, a smartphone powered by the Android Oreo (Go Edition) today.”

Display:

Bharat Go smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display along with resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. However, the visibility of display under bright sunlight is very poor and one has to struggle a lot to use a smartphone in direct sunlight.

Camera:

Talking about the Bharat Go camera, it has a 5MP rear camera along with dual LED flash. Also, on the front, it has 5MP selfie camera which is pair with LED flash. However, both the camera clicks better photo even in low light condition. You can record 480p video from both front and rear camera using Bharat Go smartphone.

Performance:

The phone is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor along with Mali-T720MP1 GPU and 1GB of RAM. With this processor, it can handle all your daily task and ensures smooth performance while browsing. Sadly you can’t play hardcore games, as it carries only 1GB of RAM.

Storage & Platform:

As it is Android Go based smartphone, so the device comes with 8GB of internal storage. However, the storage can be further expanded up to 32GB using microSD card slot. Micromax Bharat Go is running on Android Oreo (Go Edition) version which is specially designed for a low-end smartphone.

Battery & Connectivity:

Bharat Go features a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery which can last for a day with normal usage. The company claims that it gives 6-7 hours of talk time and 170-180 hours of standby time. Moving towards the connectivity, it has dual SIM support along VolTE. Also, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a micro USB 2.0 port.

Micromax Bharat Go smartphone comes with 1GB of RAM + 8GB of Internal Storage which is priced at Rs. 4,399. But as a part of Airtel’s “Mera Pehla Smartphone” initiative, you can get cashback of Rs. 2000 on Bharat Go smartphone. This offer brings the price down to Rs. 2,399. Moreover, Micromax Bharat Go smartphone is only available in black color variants.
