In a smartphone market that is filled with budget offerings, the phones which offer the most value for money tend to stand out. Keeping this very trend in mind, Chinese phone giant Huawei has recently launched their new device in India – the Huawei Honor 4X.
Marketed in India as the World’s Best Dual Sim 4G Smart Phone, the Honor 4X was announced in December last year, and it is only now that the company is bringing it to India. It is priced very competitively at Rs. 10,499/-, and in this article I take a look at all the features that this phone has to offer.
The Honor 4X comes with a 5.5 inch IPS display, with a resolution of 1280×720, which gives it a PPI of 267, which although isn’t the best out there, but is still good enough once you consider the price.
Keeping in tune with the trend of 64-bit computing, the Honor 4X comes with a 1.2Ghz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor underneath the hood.
In this department, the Honor 4X has ample offerings. With 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded to 32GB using Micro SD cards.
The main camera has a resolution of 13 Megapixels and is auto focus. The front camera has a resolution of 8 Megapixels.
The operating system of the Honor 4X is Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 layered on top of it.
The battery of the phone is 3000mAh.
The Honor 4X will be going on sale on March 30th, 2015. Pre registrations are currently on full swing, and prospective buyers can register for the phone via Huawei’s Indian website or through Flipkart.com.
Huawei also has a special offer where they are giving away a limited edition bundle along with the phone. To avail this, customers will have to register on the Huawei India website (hihonor.in). The people who pre order the phone would get a chance to win the limited edition bundle for only Rs. 1 extra. This bundle would include a 3000mAh power bank, premium style engine headphone and a back cover for the device, along with some other accessories.

At the price bracket, the only other devices capable of giving competition are the YU Yureka and the Redmi Note. The Redmi 2 is also not far behind, but it offers less amount of RAM. If you’re thinking of going for this phone, I’d advise you to thoroughly compare the Huawei Honor 4X with the Yureka, since both phones offer similar features at the same price range.
