Xiaomi Unveils its First-ever Mi Watch with Six-Axis Sensor

The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has confirmed their first Mi Watch along with Mi TV 5 series and Mi CC9 Pro. They have finally entered into the smartwatch business, and they will be competing against all the major tech companies.


The company has unveiled these devices in an event that happened in Beijing. Mi Watch will be having a 1.78-inch AMOLED display with a 44 mm dial. this smartwatch is much similar to Apple watch, and it will also be having that finish. 

Mi Watch will be having an Aluminum alloy frame along with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3. The smartwatch will also have a premium version that will be having a stainless-steel strap along with a stainless-steel frame and glass protection.

All-new Mi Watch will be priced at CNY 1,299 which is converted into ₹13,000 approx. in Indian money. Also, the premium version will be available at the price point of CNY 1,999, which is converted as ₹20,000 approx. in Indian money. 

Mi Watch will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC along with the support of dual SIM connectivity. The device will also be having NFC support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 570mAh battery.

It is confirmed by the company that this device will give 36 hours of battery life in a single charge. Mi Watch will be using the MIUI operating system which will also have Google Wear OS components.

This smartwatch will have support for downloadable apps, app store, watch face market, dark mode and custom watch faces.

Due to the Google Wear OS components available in the device, it will also have a voice assistant that can control smart home devices. The fitness tracking feature will be available along with 10 professional sports modes. 


Mi Watch is also included with GPS support, barometer, six-axis sensor, and heart rate sensor. The device will come with 8GB of internal storage along with 1GB of RAM, it will also have a swim and waterproof functionality.
