Xiaomi Has Sold 1 Million Smartphones in 5 months only in India

The year 2014 is about to end and many facts and stats about various companies are coming out. Chinese smartphone manufacture company Xiaomi has revealed that it has sold one million smartphones in India in the five months since launching in the country of 1.25 crore people.


For last 5 months, Xiaomi have been selling phones on the Indian E-commerce site Flipkart on weekly basis, the flash sale have made it even more popular with its amazing specs and mid range price. Xiaomi made its debut in the Indian market in July by launching the Mi 3 in India then Redmi 1s and now Redmi Note.

Xiaomi Boss for India, , Manu Kumar Jain,  has announced by a tweet that in the month of December , the company reached a major milestone – 1 million phones sold in India! He also thanked the people of India for the love and suppoer they gave to Xiaomi.

Earlier this month, a patent dispute with Ericsson led a Delhi High Court judge to issue a ban on Xiaomi sales in India. That was partially lifted a week later, but Xiaomi still hasn’t fully resolved its legal tussle in India. The next flash sales of Xiaomi Redmi Note is on 30th December 2014.


In the coming year 2015, the OnePlus and Micromax with their amazing smartphone OnePlus One and Micromax Yu Yureka are expected to gain a huge market share and it will be a good competition to the Xiaomi to hold strength in Indian smartphone market.
