Today, at the event hosted by Xiaomi in Delhi added their third device to India portfolio today. The Chinese smartphone manufacturing company came up with two variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note to India which are Xiaomi Redmi Note and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.
The basic 3G variant of Redmi Note comes with octa-core 1.7 GHz MediaTek chipset whereas the 4G version will sport amazing 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset. The price of Xiaomi Redmi Note is Rs. 8,999 and for Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is Rs. 9,999.
The Redmi Note 4G is slightly different. Instead of the MediaTek processor, the 4G variant runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8928 SoC. It has dual band LTE support and it has been tuned to support Indian bands (TDD-2300 MHz & FDD-1800 MHz). Unlike the 3G model, the Redmi Note 4G is single SIM only. Also, while the 3G model runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the 4G variant will be on Android 4.4 KitKat, with MIUI on top.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note (3G) will be available on Flipkart and will go on sale on December 2. It will follow the same method which were applicable for Redmi 1s and Mi3 through Flipkart. The user need to register for Xiaomi Redmi Note (3G) which will start from tomorrow itself at 6 PM. The Redmi Note 4G will go on sale later by end of December.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note is a 5.5-inch smartphone and has an octa-core MTK 6592 1.7GHz processor, 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. Its display resolution is the same 1280×720 as in the Redmi 1S.
Xiaomi informed it has sold 10 million units of the Redmi Note across the world. Xiaomi has also partnered with Airtel to sell Redmi Note 4G through its 100 flagship outlets in six cities. Buyers will also need to register online to pick up the phone from the Airtel store.
