As we know WhatsApp has been consistently rolling out new features with its beta update. Today WhatsApp is rolling out a new Group Description feature for Android. The Group Description feature will allow any participant to add a description to their particular group. The description comes with a maximum length which contains 500 characters in it. Right Now, this feature is available only for Android users running WhatsApp Beta version 2.18.54.
As Group Description Feature is live for beta users. So users can check this feature, just by tapping Group name. In that, you will see a new option for adding Group Description, will appear just below the group profile picture. One can easily add Group Description but other members of the Group who did not have the feature were unable to see the description.
According to WaBetaInfo
It will show a pop-up message in the group that particular member has added a Group Description. A blue notification appears in the group which will indicate that the description has been removed. Adding description makes a good way to broadcast an important message without having the fear that it will lose within the group chat.
However, the message can also be seen by anyone with whom the group link has been shared. Also, when a new member joins the group, a user can see a Group Description notification at the top of the screen. It can delete once the member leaves the group chat.
Apart from this, WhatsApp has recently released WhatsApp Payment in India which allows users to send and receive money using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Also, it released a new beta update which has a bunch of new Animated stickers available for its Android users. The new Feature is still available for WhatsApp beta users. You can become a beta user and take a look at this feature. Do try this feature and let us know your feedback in our comment section below.
