Digital currency is one of the most known developments of the 21st Century. It essentially allows a new way to make transactions by providing direct transactions between the buyer and the seller. Over the years, many companies have started accepting digital currencies, the most popular of them being Bitcoin, as a means of payment. People can obtain Bitcoin by using their computer’s graphical powers. This process is known as mining. Sirin Labs, a company known for manufacturing military-grade phones with advanced security is probably developing the world’s first Blockchain phone, The Finney.
Need For A Secure Phone
One must note that Bitcoin mining is a very complex process. A computer needs to have a lot of graphical power in order to obtain Bitcoin. It also needs extensive security features in order to retain this currency. Sirin Labs aims at doing so with the Finney, which is named after the person who pioneered Bitcoin, Half Finney.
The Solarin phone didn’t sell as much as the company expected which was quite predictable with the hefty $14000 price tag making it a phone for only a small portion of the world. With the increasing amount of Bitcoin Mining enthusiasts, Sirin aims at substantially becoming an enthusiast brand with phones for several types of needs.
The Finney will sell for $1000 which is not as expensive today when we have a look at the price tag of various flagships. It will have 256 Gigabytes of RAM, a 2560×1440 display, 8 Gigabytes of RAM, a 16 Megapixel Rear Camera all along with a lot of security features. It will also have a physical security lock button.
But Wait, There’s More!
However, this is not all. Sirin Labs actually sells the Finney as a combination of a computer and phone, with the computer being for $800 and the phone for $1000. The computer and phone run an Android
How To Buy It?
One can buy the Finney only if they invest in Sirin’s recently created currency, the Sirin Token (SRN). One must have enough SRN in order to buy the Finney. This allows the company to collect enough funds from people to manufacture the smartphones.
