South Korean company Samsung is all set to launch a series of smartphones at the event in Mumbai which is scheduled for May 21. The company didn’t disclose which smartphone is going to introduce at an India event. But as per the rumors, the company will launch two Galaxy J models and two Galaxy A models at the event. Samsung officially confirmed on Twitter that they are going to announce the new Galaxy J6 smartphone in India on May 21.
Meanwhile, Galaxy J6 will be available in stores starting from May 22. Samsung India tweeted on their Twitter account that the new Samsung Galaxy J6 smartphone will have a new ‘state-of-the-art design.’ The Galaxy J6 will be a mid-range smartphone and also expected to come with bezel-less Infinity Display which is seen on earlier Galaxy S9 smartphone.
However, the Galaxy J6 will be the fourth smartphone from the earlier J-series. As J-series is commonly known for its budget smartphone which includes Galaxy J2, Galaxy J5, and Galaxy J7 series. The company suggests that new Galaxy smartphone will directly compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro & Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. But leaked spec suggest that Samsung is going with same Exynos 7870 processor.
Moreover, Samsung is bringing infinity display for the first time to Mid-range Galaxy J series. Also, the price for Galaxy J6 smartphone is expected to start from Rs. 15,000.
Leak Specs of Galaxy J6:
As per the leaks and rumors, the Galaxy J6 will sport 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED display. Also, it has a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels. The device will feature similar Exynos 7870 processor which is coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM options. The phone will available in two storage variant, one with 32GB and other with 64GB.
Coming towards the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera along with an LED flash. The leaks also suggest that the Fingerprint reader will feature on the back of the device. The device will sport 3,000mAh battery which can last for a day with a normal usage. Galaxy J6 is also expected to run on latest Android 8.0 Oreo version.
