PUBG Mobile Servers and Sevices to Completely Stop Working in India From Today

After Ban on PUBG Mobile and PUBG Lite, people were still able to use the application who already had the game installed in their device but Tencent announce on its official handle on Facebook that all the servers and services in India will shut down on 30th October, that is today. The same message was also posted on the Game’s Community Forum.

The Indian Government banned the gaming application in the second wave of Chinese app ban over national security issue, PUBG was not the only application that was banned in the country, 117 other Chinese applications were banned in India. This step gave Indian startups an opportunity to make applications in India.

However, we have suspected that there are other ways through which people can use the gaming application using a VPN. The application is not available on the Google Playstore or Apple Playstore. Though if you love PUBG then there are alternatives that you can use instead of PUBG.

PUBG Mobile announced the termination of its services on Facebook where they stated, “Dear Fans, To comply with the interim order of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology dated September 2, 2020, Tencent Games will terminate all service and access for users in India to PUBG MOBILE Nordic Map: Livik and PUBG MOBILE Lite (together, “PUBG Mobile”) on October 30, 2020. The rights to publish PUBG MOBILE in India will be returned to the owner of the PUBG intellectual property.”

After the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, PUBG Corporation had taken the publishing rights from Tencent. During the first wave of the ban on Chinese apps, the Indian Government banned TikTok and 58 other apps. There were some popular Chinese apps which were included in the ban such as WeChat, Shareit, UC Browser, CamScanner, and many more.
