OxygenOS 5.1.6 Update for OnePlus 6 Brings Selfie Portrait Mode, Battery Percent and More

After rolling OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.6 OTA update for users in Europe and other countries, now OnePlus has finally started rolling this update for OnePlus 6 users in India. The update gets selfie portrait mode for the front camera along with battery percentage option in a status bar. The newly released OxygenOS update will start rolling for Indian users in next couple of days. As per the company report, the update size will be around 223MB which brings improvements in performance and also fix the dual-SIM stability issues.

Just to remind you, OnePlus 6 was launched with OxygenOS 5.1.4 but soon received the first OxygenOS 5.1.5 OTA update. The first OTA update fixes all minor bugs and improvements in the performance. As its the second OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.6 OTA update which brings the most awaited selfie portrait mode feature for the front camera. With this feature, users get an ability to use depth-of-field Bokeh effects within the front camera of OnePlus 6. Also, this feature works exactly similar to portrait mode which is available within the rear camera.

However, with this OTA update, OnePlus 6 also get an ability to show the battery percentage into the status bar of OnePlus 6 smartphone. Earlier the battery percentage was available in the notification shade which saves space around the notch. But now the company have added the same battery percentage back into the status bar with this OxygenOS 5.1.6 update.

The OTA update also includes the ability to schedule do-not-disturb (DND) mode. Meanwhile, it also gets dual 4G network and optimization in the quality of the call. The company also update Earphone mode which allows users to automatically attends calls when they are connected to the devices using Bluetooth headset.
