OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100 were recently launched in the U.S. and EU market making them one of the company’s line up for their entry into the budget market segment. Nord N10 5G is an entry-level budget smartphone for 5G network. The N100 has some of the modest specifications and a massive battery.
Both of these models are set to go on sale in the UK and will be coming to the U.S in coming weeks. OnePlus has made a big fuss of how it is providing the same Oxygen OS on these Nord lines of phones as it is offering on the other flagship devices. OnePlus Nord N10 5G and Nord N100 come with Oxygen OS 10.5 which is based on Android 10 and Oneplus 8T which was launched sometime before came with Oxygen OS 11 that is based on Android 11 out of the box.
To make the situation worse, it has been reported that the devices will only receive an update of Android 11 and get security updates for two years. So, it is known that when the phone will get a version update to Android 11 there will be no updates to expect in this phone. A company official from Oneplus has confirmed to Android Central that the Nord N10 5G and N100 will receive only one major update.
The Nord N10 5G and N100 will receive one major Android update and a total of two years of security updates. The plan for these two devices aligns with industry standards for smartphones in more affordable price ranges. As always, we will continue listening to feedback from our users and looking for ways to improve the software experience for all OnePlus devices.Said by the official OnePlus Representative
