Earlier, few days there were reports which said that OnePlus is planning to launch the upcoming flagship smartphone, OnPlus 8 in an online event because of the coronavirus. However, Oneplus denied this news stating that the smartphone will be launched at an online as well as an offline event
OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in the late March or April. In a statement to 9to5Google, OnePlus reported that the offline event was never cancelled due to coronavirus. The company said “Reports of cancelling an offline launch event due to coronavirus are false. OnePlus has a history of hosting online and offline events, globally.”
Due to coronavirus, it was earlier reported that the physical launch event of OnePlus 8 will not be arranged by OnePlus rather it will arrange an online event only. These reports were out because of the threat of coronavirus. The deadliest virus has taken many lives until now. So the rumors were spread of OnePlus not launching OnPlus 8 offline.

OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will have a vertical quad-camera setup and will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. OnePlus 8 will be having Android 10 OS and it will be fueled with 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast-charging support.
On the other hand, OnePlus 8 will have a triple camera setup of 48-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel. The smartphone will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and will run OxygenOS based Android 10.
If prices of these phones are to be expected then OnePlus 8 is expected to cost around Rs. Rs. 35,000, and the OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to be priced well over Rs. 45,000. There are also rumors about OnePlus launching the Lite version of OnePlus 8. The OnePlus 8 Lite is expected to cost less than Rs. 30,000.
