Now, You Can Repost Instagram Stories You’ve Been Tagged In
Facebook-owned Instagram is adding tons of new feature to its stories every month. Now Instagram is adding “@Mention Sharing” feature which allows users to instantly repost a story that they are tagged in.
Instagram wrote in its official blog post, “When someone mentions you in their story, you receive a notification in your ‘Direct message’ thread with that person. Now you’ll see an option to add that content to your own story.”
Instagram’s “@Mention Sharing” feature is live on version 48 for both Android and iOS platform. However, this feature is accessible only to users with public accounts. This feature is similar to a previously added feature which allows you to share public posts to your stories.
Meanwhile, when you move towards the Instagram camera to post a story and tag someone, you will see a pop-up notification which says that ‘mentioned users may repost this story for 24 hours.‘ So the user who’s posting a story along with tagged in! is aware that it can make its way to the story of other Instagram users.
If someone posts a story on his profile, the mentioned user receives a notification in Direct Messages. But along with that, now users can also see a link which says “Add this to your Story.” Then simply tapping on that link it will show the mentioned story as an overlay to you Instagram stories.
In addition, before posting other stories to your profile, you can add more text, stickers, filters and also use emoji slider poll. As per the report, the original poster’s username will automatically appear, when a story is reposted on your Instagram profile.
