It have been about one year, since the launch of Android Wear and today the company Google Inc. have came up with iOS support by launching the Android Wear app on Apple’s App Store. Now with this move of Google, iOS users can also get the taste of Android Wear for iOS.
Google officially supports the LG Watch Urbane, Huawei Watch, and ASUS ZenWatch 2, all of which were released recently. Whereas website such as 9to5Google says that watches such as Moto 360 and LG G Watch R can also be connected via iPhone.
When asked about this to Google Spokesperson, He told that, “We wanted to make sure that iOS users would have a great experience with Android Wear out of the box. We’ve worked with manufacturers to ensure that the newest watches work really well with modern iPhones, but last year’s watches aren’t technically supported.”
You just need to pair your iPhone (iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, or 6 Plus running iOS 8.2+) with an Android Wear watch to bring simple and helpful information right to your wrist such as important info like phone calls, messages, and notifications from your favorite apps. Set fitness goals, and get daily and weekly views of your progress. Receive timely tips like when to leave for appointments, current traffic info, and flight status.
By this move of the Google it can be clearly understood that they are ready to serve iOS users also and they says, “Not everyone wants the same kind of smartwatch, so offering people choice is important”. Android Wear for iOS supports always-on watch faces so that you’ll never have to move your wrist to wake up your watch.
To use the Android Wear smartwatch with your iPhone just install this Android Wear app and connect with it. Hope many such service will be made available of iOS users and they can also get the best experience.
