Many people love Xiaomi’s MIUI, but they usually complain about the MIUI notification panel because it doesn’t support a basic stock Android feature like Quick reply and also had a two finger swipe down gesture to expand notification. At MIUI 9 launch, Xiaomi announced the new Notification Panel to solve the issues. With MIUI 9 Global Beta 7.11.23 update, users can enjoy Quick reply and Bundled notifications features on their Xiaomi devices.
Xiaomi’s new notification panel includes a clean and simple way of notification and information. It groups all the notifications on the app basis which make notification panel look better and also saves space. Whenever a particular app sends multiple notifications, then MIUI groups them together which will help to save space for more notification. The best thing about this is you can expand the notification just by simple swipe down or by tapping the triangular icon next to it.
Quick reply feature allows you to reply to your message in a faster and simple way, just by tapping the Reply button next to the notification. You can see information such as text, profile picture, and images sent by your friends, can be seen directly on notification panel without opening any app. This feature allows you to reply to your conversation without leaving the current app they are using.
According to rumors, it looks like more optimization is required and it’s not as perfect as stock Android notification panel. It is definitely better than the earlier notification panel of Xiaomi MIUI. In Earlier MIUI, expanding notification doesn’t work in one attempt and also observed multiple icons in the status bar in case of multiple notifications for few apps. The new quick reply feature works properly for Whatsapp and other Messenger. Hopefully, this bug will be fixed with the future Global Beta updates.
This feature is rolling out for Global Beta ROM users and it will be rolled out to MIUI Global Stable ROM users with future updates. Do try this amazing feature of MIUI 9 and let us about your feedback in our comment section below.
