As we know Android Go program was announced by Google at I/O in May 2017. Mobile World Congress brings lots of new smartphones, tablets, and smartwatch in its event held in Barcelona. Google also has announced the release of Android Go smartphone in MWC 2018 event.
Last week Google as listed some of the new devices which have been announced as a part of Android Go program. The Android Go phones come with ultra-low-cost with 1GB or less of RAM. The devices running an Android Oreo (Go Edition). Let’s take a quick look at Android Go phone which was listed earlier by Google.
List of Android Go Phones:
HMD Global announced Nokia 1 which is high-quality Android Go phones. The price of Nokia 1 is set for $85 which is similar to other Android Go edition devices. However, the phone comes with no extra app install in it expect the Nokia’s camera app. The device will run on a pure version of Android Oreo which will provide you the best performance while handling it. It is powered by MediaTek MT6737M chipset with 4.5 inch IPS display. Also, it carries 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage.
Alcatel company has released its first Android Go phone name as Alcatel 1X. The phone is powered by quad-core MediaTek SoC processor. The phone has a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 960 x 480 pixels. Like other Android Go phones, it will run an Android Oreo version and has 1GB of RAM with 16GB of storage. The storage of Alcatel 1X is more as compare to other Go phones. The phone will be available in April for $122. Also, the phones carry a dual-SIM version which will cost more than the regular model.
ZTE Tempo Go:
The Chinese OEM company ZTE also released its Android Go phone in MWC 2018 name as ZTE Tempo Go. The device is powered by basic Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset which carries a low processor among all Android Go phones. It has a 5-inch display with a low resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The phone will cost $80 and in return, you will get all basic specification which is not better, compared to other Android Go phones.
Lava Z50 is the company’s first Android Go phones which is announced in MWC 2018. The company has not shared the price but this phone will come with cashback offer of Rs. 2000 from Airtel. The phone sports 4.5-inch display with Gorilla Glass protection on it. It is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor. Like other Go phones, it will also come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Also, the company has packed 5MP cameras with LED flash on both sides of the phone.
Micromax Bharat Go:
After many rumors, Micromax has finally confirmed the launch of Bharat Go. In partnership with Google, the company has released first Android Go phone for India. There is no official statement about the specification of this phone. But like other Go phones, it will also feature the 4.5-inch display and comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The company has placed Micro-USB port on the bottom and its 3.5mm socket for listening on the top. It will soon launch in India but a company as not clearly mention the price tag.
GM 8 Go:
General Mobile a Turkish company has also announced its first Android Go device name as GM 8 Go. According to report, this device is powered by MediaTek 6739 processor which is coupled with 1GB of RAM. GM 8 Go will run an Android Oreo and have 3500mAh battery which will provide you a great backup of a battery. The phone has 5.5-inch HD+IPS display with 16GB of internal storage. Also, the phone carries a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.
According to Google Blog post, more Android Go devices from a different company will soon be available. However, Huawei is also launching its Go device in many markets.
