IRCTC is the subsidiary of Indian Railways which handles the catering, tourism, and online ticket operations. Now IRCTC has announced a new E-wallet service to its Rail Connect app. With this new service, a user can book railway tickets along with Tatkal tickets using a Rail Connect mobile app. For Faster ticket booking, the E-wallet service has launched a payment system which allows users to add money in advance with IRCTC. Further, this money can use at the time of ticket booking.
For adding money to E-wallet, a user must need to register at IRCTC e-wallet service through IRCTC website. As per IRCTC report, a user can add up to six banks in his/her preference list. Later user can book a ticket by selecting E-wallet service of IRCTC. Also, implementing this new E-wallet service can save the time of the user.
On the official website of IRCTC, they stated that “Like other e-wallets — Paytm and Mobikwik — IRCTC e-wallet allows its users to deposit money in advance with IRCTC, which can use as a payment option while booking train tickets. This e-wallet facility of IRCTC will help you save time by eliminating payment approval cycle.”
Moreover, if a train gets cancel from the source, then the amount of ticket will refund directly to user’s account. IRCTC has also tweeted on Twitter about the same, “PNR (passenger name record) will be automatically canceled. Refunds will available in the same account through which payment was made.”
Recently, IRCTC has also released a cab booking service to its user through Rail Connect app. In Addition, IRCTC has launched a new Foof On Track app which improves the onboard food delivery service. However, you have to insert PNR number to order for a food, using a Food On Track app. The app has a facility to cancel a meal in case your PNR is cancel.
