Honor 7X Gets Face Unlock Support With a New OTA Update

Nowadays Face Unlock has become the new trending feature in all smartphones. As many of Android phones come with this face unlock feature. Earlier Huawei brand Honor has added Face Unlock feature to Honor View 10 and Honor 9 Lite. Now the company has started rolling out a new OTA update for the Honor 7X, which will include the Face Unlock support.

Honor 7X is a mid-range smartphone and was launch in December 2017. The company said that the update will roll to all Honor 7X units in India by mid of March. The Face Unlock feature will allow users to unlock their smartphone using their face.

P Sanjeev, Vice-President, Sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group, said in a statement, “Honor in line with its commitment to introduce meaningful innovation has constantly introduced smart consumer-centric products and features. Honor 7X is already an unbeatable smartphone and with Face Unlock feature, it will emerge as one of the best budget smartphones in the Indian market.”

Along with Face Unlock feature, the company has also announced ‘No Cost’ EMI offer on the Honor 7X smartphone. This No Cost EMI offers is available to all the customers until March 31. With this offers, a user can be able to purchase the 7X without paying extra charges on easy monthly installments at Amazon India. The Honor 7X smartphone has two storage variant i.e 32GB and 64GB, both variants are eligible for the No Cost EMI option on Amazon India.

Price and Specification:

As we know Honor 7X was launched in December 2017 and goes on sale via Amazon India. The handset was available in two storage variant. For 32GB storage variant, the price is Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 15,999 for the 64GB storage variants. Both variants come with 4GB of RAM.

Just to recall you, the Honor 7X comes with a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display which has slim bezels on top and bottom of the handset. The smartphone is powered by octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor with Mali-T830 MP2 for graphics. The 7X has a dual-camera setup in the back of 6MP RGB sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Front camera comes with 8 MP for better selfies.

The 7X packs 3340mAh battery and it is still running on Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI ROM. Also, the company said that it will soon release Android Oreo update to the Honor 7X. Let us your feedback in our comment section below.
