Google has announced the final release of Android L, it’s latest version of the world’s most popular mobile platform. Android already has an 84.7% share of global smartphone shipments, and this shows that Android Lollipop 5.0 will be the biggest update for the smartphone industry. Few hours before the launch of Android Lollipop 5.0 , Google , precisely Google Android had published a video under title “Sweeeeet” . The teaser confirms that the next Android version will indeed be called Android 5.0 but the exact codename still remains unofficial till few minutes ago. Now Google have confirmed the codemane as Android Lollipop 5.0.
The Android L i.e. Android 5.0 teaser shows Google auditioning L-named sweet treats for the codename for Android 5.0 and the likes of Lemon Meringue Pie, Lava Cake, Lemon Drop, and Ladyfinger are shown, but the frequently rumoured Lollipop was surprisingly (intentionally?) not showed. This was the first indication that gave us the feeling that it can be Android Lollopop 5.0 and now google have taken the Wrapper Off of Android Lollipop 5.0
Correct Rumors of Android Lollipop 5.0
One of the source (MYCE) have said that the Android Lollipop is the next version of Android. They said : The Chromium issue tracker has revealed a hidden gem today, a screenshot posted by a Google developer reveals the debug icon of Android L and it’s a Lollipop. Until now there has been a lot of speculation about the name of Google’s upcoming Android release with the Lollipop name frequently mentioned but never confirmed. The debug icon consists of the face of the famous Android Robot on a stick.
Now the “Android lawn” will soon see a large Android Lollipop 5.0 statue and not a Licorice one as the Google have officially announced it. Android Lollipop is expected to be released this month. Android 5.0 Lollipop is debuting on three new Nexus devices — the Nexus 6 smartphone, Nexus 9 tablet, and Nexus Player streaming media device — and will be available on the Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, and Google Play Edition devices in the coming weeks.
