Google Rolls Out Android P Beta 2 Update With Final APIs and New Emojis

During Google IO 2018 developer conference, the company released the first Android P beta for Pixel smartphones. Now Google has announced a rollout of Android P beta 2 along with new features which include final APIs and a huge amount of new emojis. As per the report, the Android P beta 2 is also known as a Developer preview 3. However, you can install this new beta 2 of Android P through an OTA update or can manually download it on your Pixel and Pixel 2 lineup.
The Android P beta 2 has bumped up the API level to 28 which help developers to make the features of their app work smoothly. Also, the support for Biometric API or the multi-camera API is now live for the developers who are using Beta 2 of Android P. Moreover, Android P will be Android 9 as per Android Police reports. The report also shows a listing of Android 9 in several places.
The new Android P Beta 2 comes with 157 emojis which includes superhero, lama, hot, cold face, gender-neutral family and more. Meanwhile, Google also makes some modification with existing emojis like a turtle, salad and couple one. For now, Android P Beta 2 is available for both Pixel and Pixel 2 lineup. As the company already uploaded this new version on Android Developer website. So you can download it from there if you want to try this beta 2 of Android P.

However, the OTA update of Beta 2 has already started rolling for those users who are using previous Android P on their Pixel devices. If you haven’t received new beta 2 updates. Just to recall you, the first Android P Beta was available for a number of non-pixel devices. The list includes OnePlus 6, Sony Xperia ZX2, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Oppo R15 Pro, Essential Phone and Vivo X21. But for now, the beta 2 is only available on Pixel and Pixel 2 devices. Whereas, Essential is the only company to roll Android P Beta 2 update along with security patches for June. In addition, Google will be rolling this new Beta 2 version for all selected smartphone in next couple of weeks.
