As we know Google has multiple payment-related products in the market. On Monday, Google announced that it will merge Android Pay and Google Wallet into a single payments platform called Google Pay. This new service will be available online, in-store (NFC payments), and across several Google Products including Tez.

In a blog post, Google exec Pali Bhat said, “With Google Pay, it’ll be easier for you to use the payment information saved to your Google Account so that you can speed through checkout with peace of mind. Over the coming weeks, you’ll see Google Pay online, in-store, and across Google products, as well as when you’re paying friends.”

However, Google offers Android Pay which is launch in 2015 for checkout services. Google Wallet is used for sending money to your friends. Also, Google Tez is a mobile wallet which is based on UPI, where you can do instant payments by sending money to a unique ID. So, Google has decided to bring all these payment methods and apps into single service called Google Pay.

This new idea of Google is quite simple. Google Pay will save all your payment information to your Google account. It will be available soon for your mobile wallet. Also available for Google-based payment such as some websites which have check out in Chrome for web purchases.

The new Google Pay service has already started to roll in many apps and websites. It includes Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse, Instacart, and others. Google is also offering limited period offers for B&H, Fandango, and Instacart. Recently, Google introduces its ‘Pay With Google’ feature which upgrades the traditional checkout process. This process makes online purchases faster across services such as Google Play, YouTube, and Chrome.

Google in the blog post said that “it will also bringing these experiences to Tez users in India.” There is no confirm news whether Google Tez will rebrand with Google Pay or not.
