The official keynote event of Google and the world of Android is just around the corner, and already the schedule for the events in Google I/O 2015 have been announced. The two day event, taking place on May 28th and 29th, promises a lot of prospect for developers and at the same time might just see announcements regarding the next iteration of the Android operating system.
The official schedule goes something like this: The main keynote is stated to take place on the first day of I/O from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by developer centric Code Labs sessions and Sandbox events from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The second day of I/O 2015 will see Code Labs sessions right from the morning till evening.
Now yes, I know, we haven’t really gathered much info from the schedule explained above. But thankfully, some notable events have been hinted at by Google itself, which might intrigue the die hard Android fanatic.
NOTABLE SESSIONS THAT WILL OCCUR
On the first day, some notable sessions that will be held include sessions on Google Cloud Messaging 3.0, smarter monetization with AdMob and Analytics, What’s New in Android Development Tools and The Next Generation Mobile Web.
On the first day itself, there are a few sessions dedicated to developing applications on the Android platform: for instance, there’s a session on Growing Games with Google, Making Apps Contextually Aware and What’s New in Google Play Services.
There’s also going to be sessions on Project Tango, Device Authentication with Smart Lock and a session titled ‘What’s New in Android’. But the most intriguing session would be held on the second day of I/O, where the Google ATAP Team will unveil some wearable device, which according to the statement released by them, ‘will blow your socks off’.
“And wearables that we hope will blow your socks off. (We mean this more literally than you might think…) Our goal: break the tension between the ever-shrinking screen sizes necessary to make electronics wearable and our ability to have rich interactions with them…”
