Face Unlock to Come on WhatsApp Android Soon

WhatsApp will be reportedly bringing face unlock feature to its Android version in the future stable update soon. It is set to bring two new features in its next stable update for Android, one of which includes Face unlocking feature and other is the one for people who regularly miss calls due to the ongoing calls. Now Whatsapp is taking a step ahead to join the ongoing calls to make group calls easier with missed call notifications.


WABetaInfo a known tipster for providing information of the latest beta updates have confirmed that users may soon be able to join the ongoing calls easily which they had missed through the notification or a prompt. The user also has the ability to join or ignore an ongoing call which a user got while the user was unavailable when they open the application. The feature is specially designed to make group calls easy. This functionality may bring WhatsApp closer to most of the video calling apps available in the market.

WhatsApp will also get a new update in its future build which arrived fist for iOS users. The segment for ‘Fingerprint unlock‘ will be renamed to ‘Biometric Unlock’ which will enable users with unlocking system to use it for unlocking WhatsApp. Users also have a choice to lock the application automatically after some period of time and have an option to unlock it with fingerprint or face unlock.


WhatsApp is now taking big steps forward and listening to its users. In its latest update, Whatsapp introduced a new feature where a user can mute a chat forever.
