Yes, you read it right. WhatsApp is in Danger. India’s Popular Yoga Guru, Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali is coming up with a new Messaging app called “Kimbho – Ab Bharat Bolega”. A few days ago, Patanjali has also launched Swadeshi Samriddhi sim cards in association with BSNL.   Kimbho Messaging App will be competing with many popular messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Hike and many more. The Kimbho app was made live on Wednesday and was available on Google Play Store as well as iOS App Store.

What does the Word “Kimbho” Mean?

Kimbho is a Sanskrit word, which is used to ask, “How are you? What’s new?” explained Mr. Tijawarawala.

Patanjali’s spokesperson SK Tijarawala tweeted, “Now Bharat will speak. After launching sim cards, Ramdev has launched a new messaging application called Kimbho. Now WhatsApp will be given a competition. Our own #SwadeshiMessagingplatform. Download it directly from Google Play store.”

The Kimbho Messaging app also allows its users to block unwanted conversations or users and is encrypted by AES for security, as per the description. Users can also personalize the app with their choice of wallpaper. Play Store Description of Kimbho states that the app is completely free, doesn’t include ads and is 100% secure.

The Kimbho Messaging app also allows users to broadcast messages to multiple users simultaneously. A user can also follow a favorite celebrity on the app and send doodles as well, a feature similar to those offered by Instagram or Snapchat.

Another Side of Patanjali’s Kimbho Messaging App

A French White Hat Hacker with Twitter Handle @fs0c131y says that Kimbho has a lot of vulnerabilities. He also claims that the app is a clone of a previously built app called Bolo.  It is also said that the Play Store Description is also completely same as the Bolo app.
