Micromax had recently launched Micromax Unite 2 smartphone to compete with Motorola’s Moto E model. Upto yesterday there was no other budget smartphone who can beat Moto E but now Micromax launched a same budget smartphone called Micromax Unite 2 A106 for price Rs. 6,999. However there are few features that are different to make each phone a unique piece. These are the differences in features had been discussed here briefly: Moto E V/S Micromax Unite 2.
Let Us Compare : Moto E V/S Micromax Unite 2
Processor and Internal Storage
Micromax Unite 2 offers lesser internal storage of about 890 MB only but Moto E offers an internal storage of close to 2.2 GB. Both the phones offer the same type of processors with same capacity but Micromax Unite 2 has a processor with more cores. So, it helps in fast parallel and multi-tasking helping the user interface well.
Both the phones have the same battery capacity but the battery is removable in Micromax Unite 2 but it is not removable in Moto E. So, in case of hard freeze where the phone gets jammed, it is a bit tough to reset the phone again to operable state.
Both the phones have a 5 MB camera but Micromax Unite 2 wins the camera features by providing flash and auto focus facility. Also, there is a front facing camera of 2 MP to facilitate video calling and selfies. Flash facility and auto focus is not there in Moto E.
The size of the screen is 4.7 inches in Micromax Unite 2 but the screen size is a bit smaller in Moto E measuring only 4.3 inches. The whole screen of Moto E is made of Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This is a very unique feature. On the whole Micromax Unite 2 has about 9% bigger screen than Moto E model.
There is a lot of difference in the screen resolution in these two models. The screen resolution is higher in Moto E which is 540*960 pixels. But in Micromax Unite 2 it is only 480*800 pixels. Moto E offers 35% more screen resolution than in Micromax unite 2. The small screen size of Moto E helps in getting a clearer and high resolution display.
Both smartphones uses the Android platform but Micromax guarantees at least one update for the OS offered in Unite 2 model.
There are certain features offered extra by each one of them uniquely. But the point is the features really useful in the aspect of its functions. Certain features which Micromax Unite 2 offers is definitely not present in Moto E but the apps and functionality offered by Micromax Unite 2 are very irritating. But the Moto migrate is an unusual useful feature that Motorola offers.
Also, the alert and assist system that Moto E provides is neatly done. Micromax Unite 2 is a heavier phone than Moto E. Micromax Unite 2 supports 21 Indian languages but not sure if the user will need such lingual support. Anyway, Moto E wins in this aspect by offering a special Nano coating which helps the phone from water splashes. Moto E also offers intelligent calling where the phone traces the user’s usual calling pattern and alarms preset contacts in emergency mode.
Micromax has launched the Unite 2 at exactly the same price at which Moto E was launched. Both the phone are priced at Rs 6,999.
