Google Pay App Officially Launched on Play Store

Back in January Google has announced that it will merge Android Pay and Google Wallet into a single payment platform called Google Pay. Now Google has started the rollout of Google Pay app on Play Store. However, the app is replacing Android Pay and packs a new design and features for unified payment service. Also, Google Wallet app which will now call Google Pay Send.

Google Pay app interface has two sections i.e Home and Cards. The “Home” section includes your default credit or debit card on top which is use for quick payments, recent purchases, nearby local offers and more. While the “Cards” section helps to add your credit cards, debit cards, loyalty cards, offers and gift cards. Also, Google has updated its Google Pay Website with the latest features in it.

The aim of the Google Pay app is to become a one-stop-shop for all your payment needs. Once you’re done with adding Android Pay account, Chrome details and any other cards that you can easily shop by using this app. Google is apparently looking to do streamline operation like Samsung is trying to do with Samsung Pay platforms. The company claimed that this service will make its way towards all Google products, including Chrome and Assistant.

Google’s Blog post added, If you live in the U.S. or the UK, you’ll be able to use it to send and request money within the next few months. In the meantime, the Wallet app is now called Google Pay Send, and we’re giving it a fresh coat of paint to go with the Google Pay brand.”

The company will add more features to the app and makes more compatible across all Google products in near future. Google Pay app is currently available in 17 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Spain, UK, and the US.Google Pay

This app will use your payment information which is store in the app and websites while using an Android smartphone. The Google Pay app comes with strong security protection to ensure your account and personal data from security threats.

However, the app is still not live in India. Also, there is no official word from Google as of when this service will go live in India. Apart from this, you can download Google Pay app directly from Google Play Store. Do try this app and let us know your feedback in our comment section below.
