Mi to launch two new power banks in India

Mi has been on a roll in the country, with back to back phone launches. This year saw they entry into the wearable market in India, with the launch of their very affordable Mi Band.

Following the trend of power banks by major OEMs, such as OnePlus, Mi has now announced two power banks in India, that will be going on sale in the month of June. Coming with good power and value for money, these power banks will make sure that portable charging is now easier than ever.

16000 mAh POWER BANK

The beefier power bank that is soon to be launched is the 16000 mAh power bank. This power bank actually has more power capacity than the similarly priced 10,000 mAh power bank that is being offered from OnePlus.

The power bank has a thickness of 22mm, and has two USB 2.0 outputs with a maximum output of 5.1V / 3.6A. To put this in perspective, it can charge the Redmi Note 4G 3.5 times over, or the iPhone 6 five times. The charging time of the power bank is 9 hours, with 5V / 2A supplies.

The 16000 mAh power bank will be priced at Rs. 1399/-, which is a pretty great deal at the price!

The smaller sibling of the bigger power bank, the 5000 mAh power bank from Mi comes in a very compact profile to make charging on the go as convenient as possible for the user.

It has a thickness of 9.9mm (which is almost as thin as a smartphone!), and has just one USB 2.0 output. It can juice up the Redmi Note 4G for one full charge, or the iPhone 6 for 1.8 full charges. The charging time is 3.5 hours with a 5V / 2A supply.

The 5000 mAh power bank will be priced at Rs. 699/-.

Mi is now running a voting campaign on its Facebook page, wherein users will have to vote which variant of the power bank will go on sale on June 9th. Mi was earlier selling its 10000 mAh power bank for Rs. 999/-, and these variants are just an expansion of their power bank lineup in the country.
