The next-generation Nexus smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop was unveiled on Wednesday ; it’s Nexus 6. All of us were waiting for Nexus 6 smart phone. Google has finally announced the release of Nexus 6 on October 15, 2014. The wait for Nexus lovers is over. You will shortly see another marvelous gadget in market by Google in coming time. Let us have a close look over some specs of Google Nexus 6 .

Design & Body

The smart phone manufacturer MOTOROLA had gained trust of Google one more time and it will be making Nexus for Google. Nexus 6 will have a 6.0 inches display with resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It will have AMOLED display and will have support for multi touch. It will have the dimensions of 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.4 inches and will weigh around 138 grams. The front glass will be scratch resistant and phone will come up with proximity sensor and light sensor.


Nexus 6 will be powered with Quad Core Snap Dragon 805 processor and will also have Adreno 420 GPU. The processor will be clocked at 2700 MHz. MOTOROLA will provide a 3 GB large RAM to new Nexus 6. RAM of this device will be sufficient enough to handle multi tasking and other processes comfortably. You will rarely found any issue related performance of this smart phone. It will have Android 5.0 OS.

The 13 megapixels rear camera will be sufficient enough to capture high resolution photos of about 3840 x 2160 pixels. It has got aperture of f2.0 and will support dual LED flash. Other features will include OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), Digital Zoom, Face Detection, Auto Focus, HDR mode, Geo Tagging, and Panorama mode. The front camera of Nexus 6 will be of 2 megapixels. Though, it is not sufficient to click wonderful selfies, but you can use it for 3G video calling.

Memory and Connectivity

Nexus 6 will come in two different variants when it comes to memory. One will be of 32 GB and other variant will be of 64 GB. The phone will have Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G support, Bluetooth, NFC, OTA sync, computer Sync, GPRS, HSPA, EDGE, and LTE.

More doing, less charging

A large 3220 mAh battery provides up to 24 hours per charge. Use the Motorola Turbo Charger for a quick burst of power; all it takes is 15 minutes to get up to 6 additional hours of battery life.

Battery Life

It has got a battery capacity of 3220mAh and offers 12 hours of talk time. The standby time offered by this smart phone will be 330 hours. It has got wireless charging feature. The battery is large enough to meet your power 6 charging

Availability of Nexus 6

Google and Motorola said in their statements that the Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order through the Google Play Store in “late October” and will start shipping in November. Motorola said in its statement that the “Nexus 6 will come to 28 countries (including India) across Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America starting later this year and as we head into Q1.”

Price of Nexus 6

A factory unlocked Google Nexus 6 with 32GB storage will cost $649 (approximately Rs. 40,000), the same that an iPhone 6 costs in the US. The 64GB Google Nexus 6 has been priced at $699 (approximately Rs. 43,000) without a contract.
