You can call it ‘shatterproof’, ’indestructible’, or ‘perdurable’. Call it what you want. Motorola has announced that in Feb it will showcase its new phone Moto X Force which would have a screen that won’t be harmed even if you drop the phone on concrete.

The technology used behind this kind of display is Motorola’s ShatterField and the company backs it by offering a four year warranty that covers any kind of damage to the display. The company has essentially added a five-layer system that prevents the device from shattering. This system includes a proprietary hard coat for exterior protection, a shield for protecting the interior lens, dual touch layer for safeguarding touch-sensitivity and touchscreen, and an aluminum chassis. Motorola is so sure of its technology that it claims the screen won’t crack or shatter for up to four years.

The phone has a 5.4-inch QHD display which would be more or less ‘unbreakable’ and would be 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Processor and whereabouts

Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset will power the phone and ensure snappy performance. It would be a very competitive lag free phone and would easily allow multi tasking.

The camera department keeps the standard high as the primary camera is a 21MP lens with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash and Phase Detect Autofocus accompanied with a front facing selfie shooter of 5MP with flash and an f/2.0 aperture.

Motorola would offer two variants one of 32GB and another with 64GB, it would have external SD card support which allows expandable memory upto 2TB which is virtually unlimited considering a mobile phone. It offers 3GB RAM.

Battery and Usage Life

The phone features a 3,760mAh battery with Quick Charging support which was introduced along with Moto Turbo.

Surprisingly, the phone won’t come out with Android 6.0(Marshmallow) out of the box but is said to come up with Android 5.1.1, well we hope an update would roll out soon.

It has 4G LTE support (Cat. 4) and latest versions of WiFi 802.11ac. and other standard connectivity options.

Pricing and Costing

Although there is no noise on citing its price, our guess, it will be somewhere between 45k and 50k.

Flipkart would hold exclusive sales for the phone and would give other phones a run for their money.
