HTC and Sony are some of the leading brands in smart phone world all around the world and especially in Asian Countries. Both the smart phone companies had come out in the market launching new smart phones giving a tough fight to each other. HTC had launched Desire 820 while Sony had come up with Xperia C3. Though, both these smart phones have dual SIM functionality, but one needs to be better than the other. Design and Display

HTC Desire 820 resembles its predecessor Desire 816 in looks and has got a polycarbonate body that is glossy. The phone weighs only 155g and has got 5.5 inches screen giving resolution of 720p. Sony Xperia C3 had got similar resolution, but it is far better than that of Desire 820 because of presence of BRAVIA Engine 2 Technology. Desire 820 is powered with Octa Core Snap Dragon 615 processor with 4 cores clocked at 1 GHz while other 4 cores are clocked at 1.5 GHz. It has even got Adreno 405 GPU and is well supported by a 2 GB RAM making it efficient for multitasking and quality gaming. Xperia C3 on other hand has a dual core Cortex A7 processor with clocking speed of 1.2 GHz. It has Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB RAM. C3 surely lacks behind Desire HD when it comes to performance. Talking about their OS, both the device are powered with Android KitKat 4.4.2.

HTC Desire 820 comes with autofocus 13 MP rear camera having LED flash, HD image and video recording. The high quality 8 MP front camera of this device makes it efficient to capture quality selfies and for video calls too. On other hand, Xperia C3 comes with 8 MP rear camera a 5 MP front snapper camera. Here again, HTC defeat Sony Xperia C3 in competition of HTC Desire 820 Vs Sony Xperia C3.

Memory, Battery & Price

Desire 820 comes with 16 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 128 GB while the 8 GB internal memory of Xperia C3 can only be expanded to 32 GB. The battery difference between the two phones is minor; Desire 820 has got 2600 mAh battery while C3 has got 2500 mAh battery. The price of HTC Desire 820 is $380 (Rs. 21800/-) (20% offer on that is worth when we see its features. Xperia C3 is priced at $310 (Rs 18500/-) , but you surely expect some more features.

    Mr. Abhishek, i really wanted to know whether desire 820 outshines c3 in camera quality as well . Though c3 has only 8MP rear cam compared to the 13MP of desire,sony has to be on top when it comes to image quality as it has exmor sensor right? Even the 5MP of xperias does produce some great images whn cmprd to most of the htc phones. As far as i know ,sensor which desire has got is BSI which doesnt create much of a wow pictures .. So it would be a great thing,if you could tell us does htc really produces good images than xperia 🙂 If yes,please provide us some camera samples if u have it with u 🙂
